“Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts offers Summer Residency scholarship awards to support artists interested in joining a session. The Zenobia Award was founded in 2017 by artist Simone Leigh @simoneyvetteleigh to provide a full scholarship to an artist of color annually. The Zenobia Award Fund has grown, thanks to the generosity of a large donor community, enabling Watershed to offer four Zenobia Awards in 2022. The only prerequisite to apply is that artists must be comfortable working independently in a ceramics studio.”
Applications are due by February 1, 2022 with awardees notified in early March. Find details on 2022 residency sessions and how to apply on the Watershed Ceramics website.
